The Arabian Horse Association's Nominating Committee would like all potential officer candidates for 2017 to submit the application form to the AHA office, c/o Joleen White, by August 1, 2016.
The Committee, along with the guidance of the Executive Committee, has updated the forms and process to a Competency Model of Leadership. Applicants will want to first review the Competency Model here to become familiar with the rationale for the change, and the concepts and the skill sets desired of leadership in AHA.
Second, you'll want to review the Executive Committee Job Description document here as it contains information that will help you understand the commitment and expectations of the leadership offices of the AHA.
Lastly, the leadership profile has changed to reflect this competency model. Upon submission of the profile, the Nominating Committee will review the forms and take appropriate action that is consistent with an equitable presentation of eligible candidates. A decision on whether to have a candidates' forum will be predicated on the number of new candidates submitting applications.
