The following items go into effect December 2016. JUDGING BACK TO BACK SHOWS - This clarification has been added to the AHA Handbook and AHA One Day Show Rules. Recognized Judges may not adjudicate in back-to-back AHA-recognized shows unless they are not adjudicating the same type of classes. Class type is defined by:
For example: A judge may adjudicate Western Pleasure and Stallion Breeding at the first show and then could adjudicate English/Country English Pleasure and Mare Breeding at the second show. Splitting of judging assignments in a back-to-back situation by AO/JO/AAO/AT/JT/AAT within a section is not allowed. MODIFICATION TO LEVELING PROGRAM - When age group classes are being held in conjunction with leveled classes, a rider may choose their given level, or may choose to level up, but can ride only one level. When age group classes are not being offered, a rider may choose to ride any and all levels at or above their given level, but cannot ride below their given level. They must have separate qualifications for each class ridden. Effective Dec. 31, 2016. USEF AR110.2.d. PERFORMANCE HALTER - This is an approved section for the 2017 show year. The specifications for these classes can be found under USEF AR4. Effective Dec. 31. 2016. SPORT HORSE SHOWMANSHIP - This is an approved section for the 2017 show year. The specifications for these classes can be found under USEF AR176. Effective Dec. 31, 2016. SPORT HORSE UNDER SADDLE WALK/TROT 10 AND UNDER - This is an approved section for the 2017 show year. The specifications for these classes can be found under USEF AR252. Effective Dec. 31, 20176. RESOLUTION CHANGES - Changes were made to the Family Definition, Hunter/Jumper rules, Limited Reined Cow Horse definition, Hunter Seat Medal, Western Seat/Horsemanship, and Showmanship. These changes will be effective Dec. 1, 2016 and the detailed Resolutions can be viewed at this link. CUTTING HORSE CLASSES - All cutting horse classes must be judged by an approved National Cutting Horse Association judge or must have a guest judges card from the AHA Judges and Stewards Commission. JUDGES AND STEWARD 9-90 EDUCATION FEE - Effective December 1, 2016, the 9-90 fee for Concurrent Shows will increase to $7.
